Become a Grower

Fen Peas has grown quickly, and through tumultuous times, to become one of the UK’s largest pea growing consortiums. Our customers prize our reliability, consistency and quality, while our growers love the simplicity and convenience that membership brings. 

Vining peas are legumes, which are one of the most environmentally-friendly crops to grow. Sown in the spring, they are not in the ground long at all - giving farmers a chance to deal with any blackgrass problems they have. They are an incredible plant, producing their own nitrogen through their root system. This means that they actually enrich soils rather than depleting them; in trials it has been proven that they can leave up to 50 kilograms per hectare of pure nitrogen in the soil. They are a good entry for many following crops and fit well in the rotation.

Our area of operation is large. Centred around Boston, we go as far south as Market Deeping and west as far as Grantham. We operate as far north as Lincoln and, towards the east, Wainfleet and around the coast into Holbeach Marsh.
