A few days ahead of Rio we had our own closing ceremony on the 2016 pea harvest. No fireworks, not too many medals but pleased that what was a long and challenging season is now behind us. All the green peas are done and those that we bypassed have been combined. In the final analysis yields have not been great but quality as ever is good. Whilst we need yield to make it all stack up financially, without quality we are scuppered. So, you can be assured of quality frozen peas on your plates until it all starts again next year. Although for us, planning has already started for 2017!!
