Having taken a natural break for the Bank Holiday it was full steam ahead in the Kenobi at Antons Gowt. Having not looked at the early Anubis for a few there was a chance to catch up with them. Pleasure and pain! The first flowers are coming along which does suggest a start week commencing 16th June but there was also some damage from the frosts of last week. In some low holes where the frost had come out rapidly some leaves were translucent. You could actually see your fingerprint through the leaf. The damage is not too bad and they should recover. A frost now is better than a late May air frost when they are in flower. It had also caught some neighbouring potatoes.
